1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a tour with NYC Royal Carriage, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Tour Services
- NYC Royal Carriage provides horse-drawn carriage tours in Central Park
- Tours are subject to availability and weather conditions
- Tour duration and routes may vary based on traffic and park regulations
- Maximum capacity per carriage is 4 adults or 3 adults with 2 children
Proposal Tour — Extended Waiting Time
Our 65-minute Proposal Tour includes a brief pause at your chosen proposal location. If your event requires the carriage to wait beyond the standard tour duration (for example, while photography or a celebration continues), an Extended Waiting Time arrangement is available for $100 per additional hour, payable directly to your driver or arranged in advance with our team. 3. Booking and Payment
- Bookings can be made online, by phone, or in person
- Full payment is required at the time of booking
- Prices are in USD and include all applicable taxes
- We accept major credit cards and cash (in-person only)
- Online payments are processed securely through Stripe
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations made 24+ hours before tour: Full refund (excluding transaction fees)
- Cancellations made 12-24 hours before tour: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 12 hours before tour: No refund
- No-shows: No refund
- Rescheduling: Tours can be rescheduled up to 12 hours before the scheduled time. To reschedule, you must call our phone number at (646) 656-9717
- Weather-related cancellations by NYC Royal Carriage: Full refund or reschedule option
- Late arrival: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled tour time without contacting us, you forfeit your right to a refund or rescheduling option
Important: You are required to provide accurate contact information when booking. If we cannot reach you due to incorrect information provided, it is your responsibility and may affect your refund or rescheduling eligibility.
Exceptions and Special Circumstances:
For situations not covered by the above policies or in cases of exceptional circumstances, customers may contact management directly. We will review each case individually and may approve changes, refunds, or rescheduling at our discretion. 5. Weather Policy
Tours operate in most weather conditions. However, we may cancel or postpone tours for:
- Extreme temperatures (below 19°F or above 89°F)
- Heavy rain, snow, or ice conditions
- Lightning or severe weather warnings
- NYC regulations regarding horse carriage operations
6. Safety and Conduct
- Passengers must follow all safety instructions from the driver
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
- No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances during tours
- Disruptive behavior may result in tour termination without refund
- Service animals are welcome; pets require prior approval
7. Liability and Insurance
- NYC Royal Carriage maintains comprehensive liability insurance
- We are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings
- Passengers participate at their own risk
- We recommend travel insurance for advance bookings
8. Photography and Media
- Passengers may take photos and videos during tours
- NYC Royal Carriage may photograph tours for promotional purposes
- By participating, you consent to potential use of your image in our marketing materials
- Please notify us if you prefer not to be photographed
9. Accessibility
We strive to accommodate all passengers. Please inform us of any special needs or accessibility requirements when booking. While our carriages have steps, we will assist passengers who need help boarding.
10. Gratuities
Tips are not included in the tour price but are appreciated for exceptional service. Typical gratuity is 20-30% of the tour price.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If necessary, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in New York, NY.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and effective immediately.
